Early Childhood Education and Care Summer Internship

The student: Third Year Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership degree student. The Internship: 420 mentored hours in an Early Years Program or related agency. Typically, from May-Aug (14 Weeks) Opportunities for students to: Pursue a placement experience according to future careers in the Early Childhood Education/Care sector and/or future academic interests and goals. Students will apply strategies to support continuous learning & promote effective pedagogical practices in an EY setting Refine leadership competencies using the College of Early Childhood Educators Code of Ethics and Standards , and the Whole Leadership Framework (McCormick Centre). Work closely with an experienced EY professional.

Co-op based Experience in Human Resources Management

Flexible

This experience is designed for learners who are developing a comprehensive understanding of business operations and strategic planning. Participants will apply their knowledge of functional business areas such as management, marketing, and human resources to real-world projects. They will utilize data analysis, financial reporting, and project management skills to assess and enhance organizational performance. Learners will also explore the influence of organizational culture and external factors on business success, and develop strategies that align with legal, ethical, and economic frameworks. The Human Resources Management Co-op work term is sequenced for a winter/summer Co-op (minimum 420 hours total). Students are available to engage in an employer-lead project/Co-op as early as  January 6, 2025 and can continue as late as August 22, 2025. Full-time hours or slightly less is required and will be dependent on project scope and student availability. Student co-ops can occur in-person, virtually or a hybrid and will count towards a co-op credit. Co-ops must be remunerated.

This experience aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application in a business environment. The Business Commerce Co-op work term is sequenced for a 4 and 8 month Co-op. Students are available to engage in an employer-lead project/Co-op as early as  January 6, 2025 and can continue as late as August 22, 2025. Full-time hours or slightly less is required and will be dependent on project scope and student availability. Student co-ops can occur in-person, virtually or a hybrid and will count towards a co-op credit. Co-ops must be remunerated.
